The way we live our lives is directed by the thoughts in our head. Often our minds are noisy and the thoughts negative. Mindfulness is a tool that teaches self-awareness. By practicing mindfulness we can get in touch with our true emotions and our bodies to experience meaning in the present moment, rather than being dictated to by negative thought processes. Mindfulness allows us to change our perspective of the world and of ourselves, helping us to be happier, healthier, calmer individuals.
Introduction to Mindfulness Workshop
This workshop offers an introductory view of the science behind mindfulness, why it works and how it can help you. You will learn basic mindfulness meditation, how mindfulness helps with anxiety and depression, and given guidance on how you can incorporate mindfulness into your daily routine. Meditation can be practiced sitting on a chair, however if you prefer to sit on the floor please bring some firm cushions and a blanket with you.

Drop in classes
Mindfulness is most beneficial if you learn to incorporate it into your daily life. To build a daily practice takes time and effort, but once established the true benefits can be deeply felt. Meditating regularly with a group can help deepen your practice.
